This is a beautiful piece. Over the years I have always considered purchasing an hourglass but often found the ones in the shops to have run out between 5-15min. However, this very beautiful piece, especially at the price offered seemed worth the risk. And it doesn’t disappoint. Running half an hour a turn, the time piece has been well designed, bringing a touch of Old World nostalgia to a room. It has bulk and some weight (the base feels a little light in comparison to the weight of the actual unit), but does not look or feel cheap or plastic in any way. The glass is solid and the frame durable. Came well packed so no risk of breakage. Overall, an amazing item for oneself or to gift.
